"Practice Makes Perfect" -Lee Ching Ching

Music has always been a major part of Ms Lee's life, her grandfather played the violin and piano, and shared his love for music with her. Initially, Ms Lee turned down an scholarship for her academic pursuit and decided to follow her heartbeat and pursue music instead. It was a choice that she has never looked back from since.

Having been a stellar music student, she completed her musical education with many accomplishments. However, she is always humbled by what a professor from Cambridge once said: 'If you decide to teach, you should let your students' success speak for you instead of your own achievements.' With that in mind, Ms Lee worked with much dedication and has produced many students who had won musical awards and international music competitions.

Throughout her illustrious musical career, Ms Lee has lectured at universities, as an examiner, music competition adjudicator, and has given many musical seminars, workshops and masterclasses, both locally and abroad.

Ms Lee has given many charity concerts to help the marginalised society, both locally and abroad.

She has written 20 theory of music books, all of which are sold both locally and internationally. Ms Lee has helped shaped the lifes of many piano and violin teachers who eventually became very successful teachers. She shares her passion in music with students locally, as well as from Hong Kong, Dubai, Australia and Indonesia, all made possible via online classes.

Recently, her student Aldrich Virgo from Indonesia, made her proud by winning many piano competitions, among them, the prestigious ones in Budapest and Shanghai.

Currently, Ms Lee is developing a 'play by ear' music program which she has been using with her students, some of whom have successful part time careers as lounge pianist and violinist.
